Movies and Media by Outtacontrol

Have a few hours to kill? Wanna watch some movies without the hassles of downloading?......Check out youtube. As a dedicated fan of movies and a dedicated cheapo, youtube has been a wonderful resource for watching movies, tv shows, vlogs and documentaries. Although new movies aren't available, old favourites are just a click away. I'm also a fan of those Jane Austen BBC productions like Pride and Prejudice and Wuthering Heights a lovely way to spend a boring evening.

If historical fiction isn't your cup of tea, in the last month I've also watched A Space Oddissy 2010, The Lion in Winter, Dawn of the Dead, Educating Rita, Shirley Valentine, and Dawn of the Dead. The only set backs are they usually only play 10 minutes, but with the continuous play option.......NO PROBLEMO. Mop also turned me on to some old twilight zone episodes which are fun to watch. One of the tricks for good youtubing is when you find a good download check out the persons youtube page.......Usually if they post something you enjoy, they will have other interesting downloads. And don't forget music!!!!!..All those kewl old vids and concert footage from your fave bands. Its ALL THERE...FREE...24/7......so spend a few hours and enjoy YOUTUBE

Although Australians do not directly elect their Prime Minister, this election was every bit as important to Aussies as the 2008 and 2012 Presidential Elections are to us Yanks, because Australians elected a new Parlianment and their Parliament selects the Australian Prime Minister, the equivalent of the US President.

MOVIES AND MEDIA bye outtacontrol62

Just a few thoughts and ideas about movies for this summer. MOST OF THEM SUCKED, but I've unearthed a few gems that may interest you. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo!!!!!! Although dubbed from its native swedish......This is an excellent movie based on an excellent book. The acting is great.......especially the girl who plays Lisbeth. For the stealers you can download this movie as there is a great torrent for it. For the rest of you I understand its available in yer vid store or netflix (thank-you Barry)...Another little flic I stole/downloaded was the Danish film Valhalla Rising....Kinda artsy.....very violent, but interesting. There's something dead sexy about vikings, even if they only have 1 eye. Although a Danish production everythings in ENGLISH. So fear not and give it a try! Ok, one last film which I hesitated to watch although I downloaded it 2 months ago.........The Stoning Of Soraya M. The story is frightening and realistic looking and just plain sad. I cried and cried. Reminds me of the Shirley Jacksons short story "the Lottery"..Some good performances and very Dramatic themes.
So to wrap it up....... The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

You know which mosque I mean.

It's simple. If a Presbyterian Church or a Jewish Temple would have been allowed in the space of the old Burlington Coat Factory, then the City of New York can't stop the mosque.

The only exception I can think of is a legitimate national security issue. But what kind of a national security issue could a mosqe or a community center create? Are enemy combatants going to build missile silos in the basement?

How is a building a threat to national security?

If individual people are a threat to national security, the answer is simple -- arrest them or deport them, but why is an individual building a problem?

The question of a government coverup of 911 has been the subject of numerous heated debates in PalTalk Chat rooms.

Various rooms deal with the topic from different perspectives. For example, The Wake Up Project room takes the position that that mainstream media is a propaganda arm of Big Corporations and the Federal Government, while not taking a specific stance on the question of whether there is United States Government coverup of the events on and leading up to the 911 disaster.

As I understand it, the The Truth Movement room takes the position that there is, in fact, an ongoing government coverup, but unlike the Wake Up Project room, The Truth Movement room does not have a blog or a web page that describes their position, at least not one I can find.

A few days ago (approximately August 13) I offered to do a fairly open ended interview of a member of the Truth Movement room. The interview would take place in the 2Way Street Politics room.

Various members (including admins) of The Truth Movement room, expressed a preference for the interview to be held in their room, but I think holding the interview in 2 Way Street gives the Truthers a fair opportunity to enhance the credibility of their position.

My offer to the paltalk Truthers stands (despite my permanent red dot in their room).
