MopNGlow Interview Policy -- No Chat Feud Questions
In general, MopNGlow 2 Way Street interviewees will NOT be asked to respond to questions about statements they previously made on PalTalk, AOL, Yahoo, MSN or any other chat service.
Such statements are difficult to document and are often made in a frivolous or humorous context; and besides, 2 Way Street is open 24/7, so there is plenty of other opportunity to ask your questions dredged up from previous battles.

Movies and Media.........Documentarys R not only 4 Geeks
Before I talk about Docs, I have a rating for ya. Devil........Devil gets 1 Tilda Bark. Nothing new or scary here......No devil, just people trapped in an elevator. Its also only 75 minutes..........75 minutes isn't a movie......its a long TV episode. I've noticed this trend in Movies and I don't understand why but maybe its our soundbite culture of people being bored after 2 minutes of content. It sucks.
So on to Documentaries.......I love em......and although I'm kinda a geek, I bet lots of people in 2 way like them too......So let yer freak-flag fly.....and enjoy. Once again YouTube is a good resource. Especially Adam Curtis Documentaries....The Trap-what happened to our dream of Freedom, The Power of Nightmares on Islamism and Neoconservatisim..The Mayfair Set, all interesting and award winning and best yet FREE ON YOUTUBE. My other great resource is PBS.org......Frontline. They have a large list of free vids on all kinds of subjects and American Experience(also at PBS.org) which I found especially kewl as it includes many personal biographical documentaries on past presidents and famous Americans. I'm not really into conspiracy documentaries likeLoose Change or the Money Merchants.....but I believe they are available on YouTube...When I googled there are 100's of sites that offer free streaming.......I won't vouch for them as I don't know if they are "safe" sites or not, so do yer own research. Actually my favourite doc of all time is 7up.....If you've ever seen it.....or parts of it....Its a brilliant look at some children starting in 1963 London and revisiting them every 7 years throughout their lives.......Its by Michael Apted.
For war docs.......see Rainbase.....I'm sure he knows where to get them and what to watch....
If you like Docs......please pass on your resources and your favourites....I love to hear from others in the room......and I'll let you all know what I think of Wall Street 2 next posting.........

If Republicans Won't Support Republicans then Why Should I?
a mop editorial . . .
Earlier this month, in Alaska, the Tea Party backed candidate Joe Miller defeated sitting Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski in an open primary election.
At this time Republicans should be devoting 100% of their resources to defeating their Democrat opponents; but instead the Miller campaign has been disrupted by Murkowski, who announced plans to run as a write-in candidate.
Senate Republicans have in essence backed the renegade Murkowski campaign by failing to strip Murkowski of her post as the ranking member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, a move that would have sent a clear message -- the Republican party does not tolerate traitors.
My question, therefore, to the Republican National Committee and Congressional Republicans (particulary in the Senate) is quote simple. If you won't back Republican candidates 100%, why should I?
What the hell do you stand for, if you won't support the products of your own internal primary processes, and if you continue to give support to party traitors such as Ms. Murkowski?

The Pledge to Nowhere
Here is a link to the pledge.
The following is from Red State
I want Republicans to win.
But not just for the sake of it. It is not enough simply to get power. Republicans must demonstrate that they actually understand why they were sent home in 2006 and 2008, and that they are 100% committed to changing the direction of Washington now that America seems poised to give them another chance. Fail to do that and the American people will send them home again.
Yesterday’s much anticipated “Pledge to America” represents a glimpse into how Republicans plan to govern, and simply put, it’s a pledge to nowhere . . .

Carbon Tax News from Kitty Kats
Thanks to Kitty Kats for this information.

-- Who Wants a Climate & Energy Bill? 83 Leading US Companies
--Carbon Tax" More Popular than "Cap-and-Trade" with US Voters
Excerpts:
“.... from the US Climate Task Force and Fortune 500 is that US voters prefer a straight carbon tax over cap-and-trade once they are educated a little bit on the two options. This is what a recent survey shows. The survey finds that American voters actually prefer a carbon tax by a ratio of more than 2:1!
According to the survey, 58% of people supported the carbon tax, 27% supported cap-and-trade, and 15% were not sure or wanted neither.”
-- State Roundup: Maryland Carbon Tax - 06/07/2010
Excerpts:
“.... Maryland County Creates First Carbon Tax
Montgomery County, Maryland passed the nation's first countywide carbon tax.
By a vote of 8-1 council members approved the tax, which reportedly is aimed a a single coal-fired power plant. The local law calls for payments of $5 per ton from stationary sources emitting more than a million tons of carbon dioxide per year.
The county expects to collect between $10 million and $15 million in yearly revenues from the tax, and the local action could serve as an example for other counties across the country. “
-- Market forces crucial to low-carbon economy - 2010-04-30
Excerpts:
“.... Developing a low-carbon economy is now a key national development strategy in which China has made remarkable progress, the World Bank said in a recent report....
.... The Chinese government's target of a 20 percent reduction in energy consumption from 2005 to 2010 would reduce annual CO2 emissions by 1.5 billion tons by the end of this year, the most aggressive emission reduction target in the world, five times the 300-million-ton reduction of the European Union's Kyoto commitment, said the report.
While the world's leading coal consumer, China has also become the world leader in renewable energy - now the source of 8 percent of total primary energy, a figured targeted to reach 15 percent by 2020.”
-- China to impose carbon tax from 2012 - 12 May 2010
Excerpts:
“China will impose a carbon tax on industry from 2012 to curb carbon dioxide emissions, a business newspaper reported late yesterday....
.... The government has vowed to cut "carbon intensity" – the amount of carbon dioxide emitted to create each unit of economic value – by 40 to 45 per cent by 2020, compared with 2005 levels, as part of the international Copenhagen Accord agreement....
.... Chinese premier Wen Jiabao warned last week that he is willing to use an "iron hand" to close down the most carbon-intensive factories to ensure the targets are met.
Wen laid out new targets to shut down 10GW of outdated small coal-fired plants, reduce capacity at the worst-performing iron smelting plants by 25 million tonnes, cut steel production at older facilities by six million tonnes, and similarly scale back cement production by 50 million tonnes. Some city-wide and regional carbon trading schemes are also in place, but have failed as yet to establish a strong price on carbon.”

Why Did Freddie and Fannie Do it?
From a Thomas Sowell article:
My question is why did Freddie and Fannie do this?
Here's an article provided by Frank Rambo:

Here's a site by Liberal BS Filter that deals with some of these issues:

Here's an article:
Three Ways The CRA Pushed Countrywide To Lower Lending Standards
Most of those who pushed the lowering of mortgage lending standards were Democrats-- notably Congressman Barney Frank and Senator Christopher Dodd, though too many Republicans went along.
At the heart of these policies were Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, who bought huge amounts of risky mortgages, passing the risk on from the banks that lent the money (and made the profits) to the taxpayers who were not even aware that they would end up paying in the end.
My question is why did Freddie and Fannie do this?

September....Summer is over and kids are back to school.....People are back on diets and Movie Fans are getting over a summer with no big block busters (Inception and Toy Story 3 excepted) and yer asking yourself what do I watch NOW....I recommend Wall Street 2, Money Never Sleeps. The world needs men like Gordon Gekko to love/hate, and now that we hear Micheal Douglas has the cancer it might be his last hurrah. Devil looks good too...People trapped in an elevator with a Demon....Whats not fun about that? Resident Evil: Afterlife, once again Alice takes on the Raccoon Corporation and ya gotta luv the Zombies...Zombies are fun....Milla Jovovich is perfect in this part and great at slomo action scenes. I also am looking forward to 127 Hours based on the true story of the guy out hiking, who is trapped by a boulder and AMPUTATES his own hand. James Franco plays the hero. The trailer looks fab......so we'll see.
A heads up about one of my favorite sites...i09 which is all about sci-fi.....futurism...tech....media......movies.....all kinds of kewl stuff......so check out io9.com
I haven't been watching any movies lately because most of them suck in august. Inception is the last movie that was worth the download.....Inception gets 4 Tilda Barks.......(Tilda Barks is my new rating system. 4 is the best). For the 2 people who read my blather please feel free to share your movie picks or interesting websites......I welcome all comments.........Thanx

Five Damning "Facts" about 911
According to Atlantis Pools, the following are five of the most damming facts, which indicate that the Government’s 9/11 Conspiracy Theory is false.
1.) Hard Scientific evidence of sophisticated military explosives used to demolish the Twin Towers, as well as WTC-7, on 9/11.
2.) Corroborating evidence of military explosives by government and independent studies as well as eyewitnesses of residue from Thermitic reactions.
3.) All scientific evidence points to controlled demolition. No scientific evidence supports the government’s conspiracy theory of spontaneous collapse, due to fire and impact damage from airliners and or ejected debris.
4.) Government’s conspiracy theory defies laws of nature. Namely, conservation of momentum.
5.) Temperatures over 5,000 F, supported by independent and government studies.
